A Twitter post has recently become viral after a user tweeted about a prank he did on his poor neighbor.
Blake Messick shared a screenshot showing a Print Preview from his computer. Apparently, one of his neighbors had an unsecured Bluetooth Printer which was visible to the public.
Upon discovering this, Messick connected to the printer and wrote “Hello, I am your printer. I have become self-aware. Run.” He then printed the letter to his unsuspecting neighbor.
The said tweet was re-tweeted more than twelve thousand times and liked more than fourteen thousand times.
A few days later, he posted an update showing a picture of a printer beside some trash bag. The next picture showed a printer with a caption, “And that’s the story of how I got a free printer.” Messick supposedly took home the printer thrown out by his neighbor.
Netizens had mixed reactions over the supposed prank with some finding it hilarious, others being concerned of their own networks, and some skeptic over the outcome.
Some even joked that the message may have come from Skynet, a fictional neural net-based group mind and artificial intelligence created by James Cameron and was popularized by the Terminator franchise.
